Most gaming accessory guides are full of things that look good in photos and do nothing useful on an actual desk. This list is different – these are specific products I picked myself, either because I own them or because they solve a real problem I’ve had.
1. Desk mat / mouse pad – felt or fabric, XXL size
The single highest-impact upgrade per dollar on this list. A large desk mat changes how your entire setup feels – mouse glides consistently, keyboard sits flat, cables stop sliding around. Your desk just looks cleaner. If you’re eating at the table or drinking something and accidentally spill something on the rug, it won’t be as noticeable as it would be on other rugs. Or if you’ve been using it for several years, refreshing the rug won’t be such a problem, since it’s quite affordable.
Two good options depending on what you want:

Wool felt mat — minimalist, quiet, premium texture. Great if you want something that looks more like a desk pad than a gaming accessory. Comes in neutral colors that work in any setup.
→ Felt desk mat on AliExpress – ~$7–12 with shipping fees.
XXL fabric mat (120×60cm) — the biggest format, full coverage for keyboard + mouse + everything else. Simple dark design, non-slip rubber base. (I bought this one; I replace it every two years)
→ 120×60cm desk mat on Temu ~$8
What to check: Stitched edges (not raw), rubber base, 3mm+ thickness. Both options above have all three.
2. Cable management — clips and winders
Two different tools for two different problems. Both cost under $5 combined.

Cable winder clips (Toocki) — reusable silicone winders that wrap around cables to keep them from tangling. Good for mouse cables, earphones, and short USB cables on the desk.
→ Toocki cable winders on AliExpress – ~$1–2

Adhesive cable clips (pack of 10–50) — stick to the wall, wood, metal, glass, plastic surfaces, route cables cleanly along a fixed path. Once you stick them, you stop thinking about cables permanently. I use them for under-desk cable management.
→ Adhesive cable clips on AliExpress ~$1–4 for a pack
What to check: For adhesive clips – 3M-style backing holds much better than generic glue. Check the listing mentions 3M or strong adhesive specifically.
3. Monitor light bar — Baseus
A light bar sits on top of your monitor and illuminates your keyboard and desk without shining into your eyes or reflecting on the screen. Reduces eye strain noticeably during long sessions.
The Baseus model is the right call at this price point – it’s a real brand with a proper asymmetric light design (light goes down onto the desk, not onto the screen), touch controls, and USB power. No separate adapter needed.

At ~$15–20 on AliExpress, it’s cheaper than anywhere else. The BenQ equivalent costs $50+.
→ Baseus monitor light bar on AliExpress – ~$30
What to check: USB-powered, touch controls, asymmetric light design. The Baseus listing has all three.
4. Phone holder — magnetic or foldable stand
Two scenarios, two products.

At your desk — the Ulanzi MA02 MagLock dual magnetic stand is the premium pick. Magnetic attachment (MagSafe compatible), foldable, 1/4″ screw thread for attaching to other gear. Works for iPhone and Android with a MagSafe case. Good if you use your phone as a second screen or camera during streams.
→ Ulanzi MA02 MagLock stand on AliExpress ~$12–15

Any space — the Ulanzi SK-25 magnetic mount with suction cup. Attaches to the windshield, flat surfaces, glass, plastic, etc., phone snaps on magnetically. (Use it for home filming or a phone holder)
→ Ulanzi SK-25 car mount on AliExpress ~$20
Both are Ulanzi – one of the few AliExpress brands where build quality is consistently good across their lineup.
5. Router / set-top box shelf — no-drill wall mount
If your router is sitting on the floor or taking up desk space, a no-drill wall shelf fixes that cleanly. Adhesive mount, no holes in the wall, holds routers, set-top boxes, small hubs.
Three versions at different sizes:

Wall mount rack (for router + media devices) — larger, holds more, good if you want to move several things off the desk at once.
→ No-drill router shelf on AliExpress ~$5 (+shipping fee)
Set-top box rack — compact, designed for a single box or router.
→ Set-top box rack on AliExpress ~$7-8
Adjustable monitor/router stand — desktop version, sits on top of the desk and holds a monitor, router, or media player on a raised shelf. Useful if wall mounting isn’t an option.
→ Adjustable top shelf stand on AliExpress ~$7
What to check: Adhesive strength — check reviews confirm it holds after 2–3 weeks. Some cheaper versions lose grip after a month.
6. Headphone stand — aluminum
An aluminum headphone stand keeps your headset off the desk and at arm’s reach. Nothing complex – you put it on the desk, hang your headphones, done.
The aluminum versions look clean and don’t wobble. Anti-slip base. Works with any headset.
→ Aluminum headphone stand on AliExpress ~$6–10

7. Controller stand — character design or minimalist
Two very different vibes here depending on what you want on your desk.
Character stands (Temu) — if you want something that looks like part of a gaming setup rather than generic office furniture. Three options:

- Demon warrior sword stand — controller sits in a sword/shield mount, dramatic design, compatible with PS5/PS4 and others.
→ Demon warrior controller stand on Temu ~$10-15 - Samurai stand — cleaner than the demon version, same idea.
→ Samurai controller stand on Temu ~$5-7 - Groot stand — works as phone + controller holder, good desk decoration if you’re into that.
→ Groot controller stand on Temu ~$17
Minimalist 3D-printed stand (Temu) — black and white, no characters, just holds the controller at a clean angle. Best if you want something invisible on the desk.
→ Minimalist Xbox controller stand on Temu ~$2

What to check: Compatibility with your controller model. PS5 DualSense is wider than PS4; confirm the listing mentions PS5 specifically.
8. Microphone arm — Ulanzi LS26
If you have a desktop mic and it’s sitting on a small stand in the middle of your desk, a boom arm fixes that completely. You clip it to the desk edge, adjust the arm, and your mic is exactly where you need it without taking up any desk space.
The Ulanzi LS26 is the right pick at this price. All-aluminum build, extends up to 48cm horizontally, 360° rotation, fits any standard mic thread (comes with 1/4″, 3/8″, and 5/8″ adapters). Load capacity up to 2kg – handles any desktop mic. I use it on a daily basis and love it.
This one crosses the $15 threshold slightly (~$30 on AliExpress), but it’s worth including because it’s genuinely half the price of equivalent arms from Rode or Blue.

→ Ulanzi LS26 mic arm on AliExpress ~$30
What to check: Confirm the clamp fits your desk thickness (fits up to 5cm). Check the listing for your desk edge size.
9. Power cable organizer — desk cord winder
Small adhesive cord winders that mount on the side of a desk, wall, or cabinet and hold power cables in place so they don’t dangle. Different from the cable clips in item 2 – these are specifically for thicker power cords and appliance cables. Although the ad shows a kitchen, let’s remember that there are plenty of thick cables in the computer equipment as well.

→ Power cord winder clips on AliExpress ~$2–7
Works for power strips, pc appliances, standing desk cables – anything with a thicker cord you want to keep tidy.
10. Memory card case — 30-slot (Temu)
I have it for my card storage. Not a gaming accessory in the traditional sense, but if you shoot video, use a camera, or have a drone, a proper memory card case is something you’ll use for years. 30 slots for MicroSD, SD, and CF cards. Shockproof, waterproof shell, labeled slots so you know what’s what.

→ 30-slot memory card case on Temu ~$6–8

A few words on ordering from AliExpress and Temu
AliExpress: Check seller rating (aim for 95%+) and review count (500+ is a safer baseline). Read 3-star reviews — they’re usually the most honest. Use AliExpress Standard Shipping over the free untracked option if you want a realistic delivery window.
Temu: Faster shipping than AliExpress in many regions, return process is straightforward. Quality is more variable on Temu – the items in this list are the lower-risk categories (stands, cases, organizers) where quality variance matters less.
Both platforms have buyer protection – if something doesn’t match the description or doesn’t arrive, you can dispute and get a refund.
